The Human Experience of Auschwitz

Designed to introduce your students to the history of the Auschwitz concentration camp complex, this activity uses survivor testimony to help students build their knowledge of and reflect on the experiences of prisoners at one of the most significant sites in the Holocaust.

The activity can be completed in preparation for International Holocaust Remembrance Day, held annually on January 27 to mark the liberation of Auschwitz, or it can complement and deepen other learning about the Holocaust, such as study of Elie Wiesel’s Night.
