Zuzana Sermer was born in Humenné, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia), in 1924. During the war, she fled Slovakia for Hungary and lived under a false identity. After the war, she lived in Czechoslovakia until immigrating to Canada with her family in 1968. Zuzana settled in Toronto. Zuzana Sermer is the author of Survival Kit.
