Pinchas Eliyahu Blitt was born in Kortelisy, Poland (now Ukraine), in 1931 or 1932. During the war, Pinchas and his family fled to the forests and went into hiding. After the war, they lived in a displaced persons camp in Austria. They immigrated to Canada in 1948 and settled in Montreal. Pinchas Blitt is the author of A Promise of Sweet Tea.
