Joseph Schwarzberg was born in Leipzig, Germany, in 1926. He and his family survived the Holocaust by fleeing from Germany to Belgium and then France, where Joseph assumed a false identity and joined the Resistance. After the war, he immigrated to British Mandate Palestine. In 1968, Joseph moved to Canada with his family and settled in Toronto. Joseph Schwarzberg is the author of Dangerous Measures.
