David Newman
David Newman was born in Chmielnik, Poland, in 1919. During the war, he was confined in the Skarżysko-Kamienna forced labour camp, the Buchenwald concentration camp and a forced labour camp. After the war, David and his wife lived in a displaced persons camp in Germany and started a family. They moved to France and then immigrated to Canada in 1951, settling in Toronto. David Newman is the author of Hope’s Reprise.
