Claire Baum was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1936. During the Nazi occupation, Claire’s parents sent her and her sister into hiding. They found refuge with a non-Jewish woman they called Tante Nel. Claire and her family immigrated to Canada in 1951 and settled in Toronto. Claire Baum is the author of The Hidden Package.
