Betty Rich was born in Zduńska Wola, Poland, in 1923. During the war, she fled to Soviet-occupied eastern Poland and was eventually deported to a Soviet forced labour camp. After the war, Betty lived in Poland. In 1949, she immigrated to Canada with her husband and settled in Toronto. Betty Rich is the author of Little Girl Lost.
