Ariela Freedman, associate professor at Concordia University, will give a public talk at the University of New Brunswick Saint John from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. titled “Strange Work: Literary Testimony in Holocaust Narrative.” Freedman’s work beautifully engages with the poetics of literary testimony to explore how violent histories are mediated through aesthetic innovation, through form and through memory. 

This lecture is open to the university community and the public.
